Yesterday there was a meeting for all committee members in our boxer group, and since I'm on the fund raising committee, we went. Thanks to Jason for hanging out for a few hours with a bunch of women! What I noticed today is all of a sudden, he has taken more interest in this group, asking to be put on different email lists that go out, trying harder to remember the names of everyone he's met (and there are several hundred volunteers, so that's no small feat!)
I just love that we found something that we can share our passion about with each other. We each have things we like, and we tell each other about them, but it's nice to have something that you don't even have to say anything to know how much the other one really cares. I think this is going to bring us even closer together as we work on various projects throughout the year, and I'm so grateful to God for using volunteer work as the way He brings us closer together.
